Male Rhinoplasty Procedure Steps

Your surgical plan will detail the steps of your procedure, as each male rhinoplasty is unique to the patient’s needs and anatomy. Male rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure performed using general anesthesia.
However, a general male rhinoplasty procedure may look like the following:

• Dr. Diamond begins by making incisions either inside the nose (closed) or across the small piece of skin between the nostrils, the columella (opened).
• Dr. Diamond will make the necessary adjustments per your goals and surgical plan. He may shave down a dorsal hump, refine the nasal tip, or resize nostrils, for example.
• Any additional procedures may be performed at this time, as well.
• Once Dr. Diamond is pleased with the results, he will carefully close the incisions. Your nose will then be bandaged and placed in a surgical splint.
