Your initial meeting with Dr. Diamond is essential for determining your candidacy and the details of your proposed surgical plan. Dr. Diamond will listen to your goals, concerns, and questions regarding your procedure. He will also examine your face to determine the severity of your brow sagging and to assess how he can improve your appearance to your liking. He will also discuss the procedure steps, the recovery process, and provide you with some before and after images.

If you both decide that an endoscopic brow lift is right for you, he will create a customized surgical plan for you and provide an accurate cost estimate and preoperative instructions.

Endoscopic Brow Lift Procedure Steps

Endoscopic brow lifts are minimally invasive, outpatient procedures performed using general anesthesia. Your endoscopic brow lift will be tailored to your specific needs, as Dr. Diamond makes an individualized plan for each patient. However, a general endoscopic brow lift procedure may look like the following:

  • Dr. Diamond will begin by making small incisions within the hairline.
  • Next, the endoscope (camera) is inserted into one of the incisions, allowing Dr. Diamond to visualize the internal tissues and muscles.
  • Through the other incisions, Dr. Diamond will make the necessary adjustments, such as elevating some tissues and releasing others. The brows are also lifted to a natural arch, and everything is secured in place.
  • Once he is satisfied with the results, Dr. Diamond will carefully close the incisions with neat sutures.

Endoscopic Brow Lift Recovery & Aftercare

Immediately after your brow lift, expect some swelling and bruising, but this is minimal compared to traditional methods. Most patients can return to work after one week of downtime, with some minor modifications. Avoid strenuous exercise for at least four weeks, or until cleared by Dr. Diamond.

In early recovery, sleeping with your head elevated can help reduce swelling, as can using cold compresses. You can wash your hair after a few days; just be gentle with your skin, as you may have some temporary numbness. We will provide you with specific aftercare instructions.
