Recovery Time for Facelift Surgery

As a Board certified Facial Plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills I specialize in Facelifts and have a wealth of experience with every different type of facelift technique.  One of the most common questions I am asked is, “what is the downtime and when can I go back to work”?  The answer to this question varies from person to person based on their anatomy and the amount of work that needs to be done.  In general, people can return to work about 10-14 days after their procedure.  Most patients will be able to be in front of clients or co-workers at the 2 week mark without having any evidence of having had a facelift.  Most people can resume exercise at about 2 weeks after the Facelift. I advise people to allow about 4-6 weeks before they feel ready to have their pictures taken.

The final results will not be seen for up to 6 months for some people but most people are thrilled with what they are seeing in the mirror at about 10 days to 2 weeks after the surgery.
