Exclusive
to our office, we now present The
Diamond Facial, a non-invasive aesthetic medical procedure combining micro dermabrasion and
intense pulse light or IPL therapy. Alone, each procedure treats hyperpigmentation,
fine wrinkles, and worsening signs of sun damage on the skin’s surface. Together,
the pair leaves your skin exfoliated, rejuvenated, and free of unwelcomed
aging indications. In addition, the deep heating of the dermis stimulates
collagen formation resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance.
First, microdermabrasion is performed utilizing a crystal free advanced device. This process targets and treats the outermost layer of the skin’s epidermis. Similar to sand paper smoothing out an uneven surface, microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells to achieve a more radiant skin tone.
Second, an advanced device using elos technology combines IPL technology with radio frequency to provide skin rejuvenation. Fotofacial RF eliminates skin discoloration, evidence of sun exposure, and improves the appearance of blemishes and acne scarring. Short pulses of high-intensity multi-wavelength light waves penetrate unwanted brown spots and as a result, they lift and exfoliate over a one to two week period. The microdermabrasion technique coupled with intense pulse light therapy offers a therapeutic solution to unwanted pigment and age spots, acne discoloration on the skin’s surface, and thus reveals a brighter glow in the skin.
Prior to receiving The Diamond Facial, one should avoid tanning, including tanning salons and self-tanning creams and bronzers. The downtime is none to minimal and the total procedure is virtually painless. A topical anesthetic can be applied at the patient’s discretion, and the entire duration of the procedure can be expected to last sixty-ninety minutes. After the procedure, sun protection is essential to achieve the maximum benefit and most enhancing results. Depending on the individual’s desired outcome, one to five treatment sessions every three to four weeks is recommended.
